Southwest Monsoon likely to arrive in Kerala on June 4; IMD warns of week-long heavy rainfall

In a shocking incident, a woman at Kurumathur near Taliparamba in Kerala’s Kannur district killed her two-month-old baby by throwing him into a well.

According to the police, the infant, Amish Alan, was found dead after being thrown into a well located near the bathroom of the house.

Mubashira told the police that the child had accidentally slipped from her hands while being showered. Her relatives also gave the statement to the police. However, since the well had both a grill and a cover, their statement raised suspicion.
It was the neighbours who rushed to the spot on hearing the screams of the family members and pulled the child out. The baby was taken to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Mubashira and her relatives were questioned for two days before she was arrested at her house on Wednesday, police said.
